"Homesick” is woven with black and white bedsheets, t-shirt scraps, and cotton thread.
After I pulled it off the loom and looked at it a while, it reminded me of deep rich soil, with a fresh sunrise above. I was trying to think what to name it, and was listening to “Homesickness, Pt. 2” by Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru right then, and it hit the spot.
